Job summary

BJP Laboratories Pty Ltd, based in Yatala, Queensland, is seeking a Purchasing Officer to support procurement operations. You will update the demand forecasting model daily, raise purchase orders for inventory, and coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery times.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will assist with sourcing new raw materials and help drive cross-department communication across the warehouse, logistics, and sales teams, contributing to timely procurement and efficient

About the Role:

As a Purchasing Officer, you will report directly to the Procurement Manager and play a critical role in our procurement operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

Updating the demand forecasting model daily to identify products that require purchasing.

Raising purchase orders for inventory items and preparing requisition forms for other departments.

Coordinating with suppliers to confirm estimated delivery times for all purchases.

Assisting the Procurement Manager and Sales team with sourcing new raw materials.

Facilitating effective communication across all departments within the organization.

Working proactively outside the scope of purchasing to assist with various warehouse functions as needed.

Supporting the Logistics, Warehouse, and Materials Manager as required.

Skills and Experience:

Permanent residency or Australian citizenship is required.

Proficiency in ERP systems and basic computer skills is essential.

Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with intermediate proficiency in the MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
