Capital Pathology is seeking a finance/procurement professional to join our Finance Department in Canberra. This full-time role (38 hours per week) focuses on accounts and procurement, supporting pathology services to the community and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

You will manage inventory of medical consumables, coordinate stocktakes, process vendor invoices, and participate in procurement meetings across Sonic Pathology networks, with ongoing training and development

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory management and ordering systems would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills are essential for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks within set timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Inventory management and ordering of medical consumables.
• Form good working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Stock order follow-up, stock and price discrepancies, stock level checks, back order checks.
• Attend monthly Sonic Pathology procurement and supply chain meetings.
• Liaise with Sonic Pathology laboratories to coordinate intercompany stock deliveries.
• Processing of vendor invoices and monthly statement reconciliations.
• Coordinate annual stocktakes of the Stores Department.

We provide services to medical practitioners, private hospitals and aged care facilities in both the ACT and regional surrounds (Southern Tablelands and South Coast NSW).

The Opportunity

A full time position (38 hours per week) has become available in our Finance Department for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person with an interest in accounts and procurement to work as part of our team providing pathology services to the community. An organised person with good attention to detail, displays initiative and can prioritise tasks within set timeframes would suit this role. Excellent communication skills are a must, as this role involves liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

• Inventory management and ordering of medical consumables
