Job summary

Uber Australia seeks a Public Policy Manager to shape mobility and delivery policy with government bodies and regulators. You will develop strategies, build trusted relationships, and advocate for reforms that support Uber's products, earners and customers across Australia and New Zealand.

In collaboration with Legal, Communications and Marketing, you will translate ambitious ideas into practical outcomes. The role requires strategic thinking, curiosity and execution to influence how the world

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in public policy, politics or government affairs
• Ability to lead multiple policy initiatives with good judgement and outcomes
• Exceptional stakeholder management and building trust across groups
• Values-aligned traits: judgement, resilience, curiosity in fast-changing environments
• Strong storytelling and presentation skills (policy campaigning a plus)

Responsibilities

• Help shape the policy environment for Uber in Australia and New Zealand.
• Shape Uber's policy positions on key legislative issues across mobility and delivery.
• Represent Uber with governments, regulators and industry groups; participate in consultations and inquiries.
• Advise senior leaders on political and regulatory issues affecting the business.
• Collaborate with Legal, Communications, Marketing and Operations to align policy work with business priorities.
