Job summary

ALS Coal at Mayfield, NSW is seeking a Casual PTL Technician to join our site team on a rotating day, afternoon, and night shift. You will handle coal samples, perform standard tests, and transfer results to the reporting system while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Full training is provided. All applicants must have a valid drivers license and rights to work in Australia; flexibility for weekend work is required, and a proactive, safety-driven mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • Strong focus on safety and teamwork.
  • Ability to work shifts and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Handle coal samples and process them per instructions and best methods.
  • Load and unload coal samples from various plant streams.
  • Perform a range of physical tests including sample prep, sizing, crushing and storage.
  • Record validated results into the reporting system.
  • Calibrate and maintain specialised equipment.

Optional overtime is available through busy periods.
