About the Position

ALS Coal Technology is seeking one full-time Coal Quality Tester to join its Team at Riverview. This is hands‑on physical testing work, an Entry‑Level position with the potential for long‑term employment for the right candidate. The team focuses on the evaluation of metallurgical and thermal coal, utilizing advanced equipment like pilot/small‑scale coke ovens and a Boiler Simulator Furnace.

Operational Hours: This role operates Monday to Friday across two rotating shifts: 6:00am–2:00pm and 10:00am–6:00pm.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Safely handle and process large coal and coke samples.
• Load/unload material from ovens operating at high temperatures.
• Perform physical testing (crushing, sizing, dividing).
• Record and transfer validated test results into systems.
• General site duties and safety incident reporting.
