Job summary

ALS Coal – Bowen Basin, QLD is seeking Coal Quality Testers to join our established Laboratory Testing team on a permanent basis. The role operates on a 7-days on / 7-days off roster, with 12-hour shifts, and offers competitive remuneration in a safety-focused environment.

You will collect samples, perform coal testing, operate and maintain lab equipment, validate results, and uphold quality procedures while prioritising safety and timely turnaround.

Qualifications

  • A strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and reliability.
  • Previous coal testing or laboratory experience is highly regarded.
  • A valid Driver’s Licence.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on a 7/7 roster.
  • Ability to pass medical.

Responsibilities

About the Position:

We are currently seeking Coal Quality Testers to join our well-established Laboratory Testing team in the Bowen Basin on a permanent basis. This role operates on a 7-days on / 7-days off roster. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collecting production and train samples across the site.

  • Adhering strictly to Quality Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prioritising safety and efficient turnaround of test results.
  • Maintaining a clean, well-organised lab and work area.
