Job summary

You will support injured workers with empathetic, trauma-informed communication and work closely with employers, insurers, treating practitioners, and legal representatives.

You will gather medical and employment information to inform decisions, explain complex outcomes clearly to customers, and adapt to evolving legislation

Qualifications

• Experience in workers' compensation or personal injury claims.
• Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assess psychological injury claims under NSW legislation and scheme rules.
• Make timely, fair, and evidence-based eligibility decisions.
• Support injured workers with empathy through respectful, trauma-informed communication.
• Review medical, employment, and factual information to support decisions.
• Collaborate with employers, insurers, treating practitioners, legal reps, and icare stakeholders.
• Explain complex decisions clearly to customers and stakeholders.
• Apply evolving psychological injury legislation to daily claims management.
• Escalate complex matters while maintaining high-quality files and documentation.
