Suncorp Group in Sydney, NSW, seeks a claims professional to assess psychological injury claims, applying NSW Workers Compensation rules with fairness and sound judgement. You will support injured workers with empathetic, trauma-informed communication and work closely with employers, insurers, treating practitioners, and legal representatives.

You will gather medical and employment information to inform decisions, explain complex outcomes clearly to customers, and adapt to evolving legislation

Qualificações

• Experience in workers' compensation or personal injury claims.
• Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Job Description

What You’ll Do:

• Assess psychological injury claims in line with NSW Workers Compensation legislation and scheme requirements.
• Make timely, fair, and evidence-based eligibility and entitlement decisions.
• Support injured workers with empathy and professionalism through respectful, trauma-informed communication.
• Gather and review medical, employment, and factual information to support sound decision-making.
• Work closely with employers, insurers, treating practitioners, legal representatives, and icare stakeholders.
• Explain complex legislative decisions clearly and confidently to customers and stakeholders.
• Apply new and evolving psychological injury legislation in day-to-day claims management.
• Escalate complex or sensitive matters appropriately while maintaining strong file quality and documentation standards.
