The University of Queensland is seeking a Senior Manager, Pre-Award to lead the Research Office’s funding initiatives. You will oversee major funding rounds and a high-performing team supporting applications to ARC, NHMRC, MRFF and international funders.

You will collaborate with researchers and academic leaders to transform ambitious ideas into competitive funding proposals, shaping institutional practices and guidance materials for proposal excellence.

Competenze

• Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant experience, management expertise and/or education and training.
• Significant experience supporting competitive research funding applications and grant submission processes.
• Proven management experience, with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop high-performing teams.

Mansioni

• Mentor and develop the Pre-Award team through active mentoring and training.
• Oversee end-to-end funding submissions for ARC, NHMRC and MRFF, ensuring compliance and staff supervision.
• Develop high-quality guidance materials to support researchers in preparing competitive proposals.
• Build influential relationships with senior academic leaders and coordinate with Legal Services.
• Drive continuous improvement of MyResearch platform and internal workflows.
