Qualifications

  • Experience in property inspections, real estate, property management, community housing, asset inspections, maintenance coordination or another relevant field-based role.
  • Current Driver Licence and confidence driving long distances for work.
  • Strong observation, reporting and record-keeping skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic record systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required employment checks and clearances.

PROPERTY INSPECTOR
Help deliver safe, well-maintained homes and stronger housing outcomes for Aboriginal communities.

Many Rivers Regional Housing Management Services Aboriginal Corporation (Many Rivers) is seeking an Aboriginal Identified Property Inspector to support the inspection and oversight of our housing portfolio across regional New South Wales.

This is a practical, field-based role suited to someone who enjoys travelling, working independently, engaging with communities and providing accurate information that helps improve housing outcomes.

Using an organisational vehicle, you will travel throughout regional NSW, including communities such as Toomelah, Tweed Heads, Taree, Inverell, Tamworth and surrounding areas, undertaking property, asset and tenancy inspections on behalf of Many Rivers.

About the Role

Reporting to the Inspections Coordinator, you will:

  • Conduct entry condition, routine, exit, vacancy and asset condition inspections.
  • Identify maintenance, safety, tenancy and property issues requiring attention.
  • Record inspection findings, photographs and supporting evidence accurately and professionally.

Position Details

Reports to: Inspection Coordinator
Employment Type: Full-time, 12-month contract
Location: Flexible regional base with monthly attendance in Port Macquarie. Regular travel throughout regional NSW is required.
