Job summary

Dowdens Group is a leading Australian engineering and pumping solutions provider seeking a Projects Engineer to join our team in Queensland. You will support the Sales team, take projects from conception through delivery, design solutions, estimate tenders, and oversee QA, commissioning, and handover.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor of Engineering, 5+ years in a related role, strong communication, leadership, and project management skills, with proficiency in MS Project and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Tender/Contract Management and Project Management experience advantageous.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to Sales and manage projects from conception to delivery.
• Lead design concepts through to deliverables for water treatment and handling solutions.
• Negotiate with clients and stakeholders to win contracts.
• Work with internal drafting resources to develop engineering drawings to approved specs.
• Prepare QA documentation, commissioning, and project handover.

We are seeking Projects Engineer and join our hardworking team to directly report to our EPC Manager/ Branch Manager. Key Accountabilities To Provide the Sales Team with Technical and Engineering Support and take Projects from Conception through to delivery including:

The assessment of clients’ needs Designing and Engineering of Solutions Estimating & Tendering

Compilation & Implementation of QA Documentation Commissioning & Projects Handover To provide and ensure the highest standard of service to all Clients and Staff by performing duties in a highly efficient, effective and professional manner while adhering to all Corporate and Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities Offer approved products and services to customers by way of quotation or tender working to a deadline Lead design concepts through to deliverables regarding water treatment and handling solutions

Negotiate with clients and stake holders at all levels to win contracts Work with Internal Drafting Resources to Develop Engineering Drawings to Approved Specifications Review customer expectations including OH&S, QA and contractual requirements

Assisting the Project / Construction Manager with the following: Procurement, Design and Detail, Site meetings, QA Implementation, Commissioning & Project Handover to the Client Develop quality documentation including development of quality plans, inspection and testing procedures and inspection methods as required by the contract Prepare commissioning and handover documentation

Compile “as built” and Material Data Reports as required by the contract Produce operation, instruction and maintenance manuals for the equipment/services supplied Communicate effectively with all stakeholders

Salary: Between $120,000 and $140,000 per annum
