Job summary

NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development seeks a diligent Project Support Officer to back Project Managers in Lismore. You’ll handle project and operational support, property and fleet tasks, training, WHS and onboarding, while engaging with stakeholders and coordinating contractor works to minimise disruption.

Based in Lismore, you will ensure accurate records and compliance across NSW Public Works.

Qualifications

• Experience providing project, contractor or business administration support.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders, contractors and suppliers.
• Understanding of purchase to pay, procurement, financial processes and reporting.
• Able to use and learn multiple software systems including MS 365, CM25 and MyWorkZone.
• Ability to work autonomously, take initiative and contribute as a team.
• Experience coordinating staff events, activities and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Provide project and operational support across NSW Public Works.
• Administer support to Project Managers and project teams.
• Assist with property and fleet management, staff training and WHS.
• Onboard new staff and support staff engagement.
• Be the primary site point of contact for stakeholders, contractors and suppliers, coordinating works to minimise disruption.
