Job summary

ACG Integration is seeking a Project Planner / Scheduler to build and manage programme across large scale electronic security installations in data centres and complex construction sites in Australia. You will own programme integrity, labour forecasting, and schedule-driven cost visibility across multiple projects.

The role collaborates with Project Managers and Operations to ensure labour demand, sequencing, and delivery risk are identified early and mitigated.

About the Position

The Project Planner / Scheduler is responsible for building, managing, and controlling project programmes across large scale electronic security installations within data centre and complex construction environments.

This role owns programme integrity, labour forecasting, and schedule driven cost visibility across multiple projects.

The Planner works closely with Project Managers and Operations to ensure labour demand, sequencing, and delivery risk are identified early and managed proactively

Programme Development and Control

• Build detailed, logic linked project programmes in Microsoft Project
• Develop programmes from first principles based on drawings, scope, builders schedule and site constraints
• Define task sequencing, durations, and dependencies aligned to builder milestones Establish and maintain critical path visibility across all active projects

Multi Project Coordination

• Manage multiple project schedules concurrently
• Consolidate individual project programmes into a master programme
• Provide a portfolio level view of labour demand, sequencing, and delivery risk
• Align project schedules with builder programmes and external trades

Labour Forecasting and Cost Integration

• Resource load all programmes with labour requirements by activity
• Produce weekly labour forecasts across all projects
• Model workforce demand, including peaks, constraints, and recovery plans
• Apply overtime and loading rates to forecast labour cost impacts
• Support Cost to Complete forecasting through schedule driven labour modelling

Programme Updates and Change Management

• Maintain live programmes with weekly updates from Project Managers and site teams
• Assess impact of delays, variations, and scope changes on programme and cost
• Re‑sequence works and develop recovery plans where required
• Identify risks to delivery early and provide mitigation strategies

Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with Project Managers to align programme with delivery strategy
• Support Operations with forward labour planning and resource allocation
• Participate in internal project reviews and builder coordination where required
• Provide clear, structured reporting on programme status and risks
• Fully resource loaded Microsoft Project programmes
• Consolidated master programme across all major projects
• Weekly labour forecasts and workforce demand curves
• Critical path and delay impact reporting
• Programme driven input into Cost to Complete and margin tracking

About You

• Proven experience in construction planning and scheduling within Australia
• Strong Microsoft Project capability, including resource loading and multi project consolidation
• Experience working on large scale construction or infrastructure projects, data centre experience preferred
• Strong understanding of trade sequencing, site constraints, and construction methodologies
• Ability to build programmes from first principles, not just maintain existing schedules
• Experience forecasting labour and integrating programme outputs into cost tracking
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Australian Citizen
• NV1 clearance or ability to hold

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience managing large-scale electronic security projects in construction environments.
• Background in Data Centre projects strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success coordinating large teams of installers (10–40).
• Strong ability to identify/manage variations, dependencies, and complex construction interfaces.
• Proficiency with project management software including Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience engaging with builders, consultants, subcontractors, and enterprise clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Experience managing projects in Construction environment.
• Proficient in project management tools and software.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.
• Experience in the electronic security or similarly related electronic or IT industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with SimPro or similar project/job management platforms.
• Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to apply a hybrid approach.
