Job summary

CPB Contractors is seeking a motivated Planner to support delivery of complex construction and infrastructure projects in Melbourne. You will develop, maintain and monitor schedules, providing insights to project teams and stakeholders, reporting to the Senior Planner or Project Controls Manager.

This role offers a clear path to advance within a collaborative, high-performing environment on major builds like data centres, with emphasis on integrated planning and schedule control.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Planner, Project Coordinator, or Project Controls role.
• Exposure to construction, infrastructure, engineering, utilities, or data centre projects.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 (or other leading Enterprise CPM software), OPRA, Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project, Synchro, Navisworks, SketchUp, TILOS, Chainlink
• Preferably awareness of and some competency in 4D planning and BIM
• Ability to interpret project drawings, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

CPB Contractors in joint venture with UGL and supported by EIC, fellow CIMIC Group companies, is proud to be driving the ground-up development of a multi-megawatt data centre in Truganina in the western suburbs of Melbourne. As the trusted delivery partners for a global digital infrastructure platform, we will be frontiering mission critical facilities and infrastructure. Our expertise will seamlessly integrate complex systems across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire, power and telecommunications among much more.

Being an integrated member of the ACS company group, we will leverage and empower this build by drawing on the shared knowledge and aligned systems across an international network to bring global best practice to our region.

The 80 MW data centre will consist of two adjoining 40MW buildings featuring complex internally integrated electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire protection, ICT and security systems. Construction will also involve extensive external inground services works, modular electrical equipment including HV / Fire protection facilities construction and civil finishing works.
