Job summary

Jacobs in Melbourne is seeking a Project Manager for wet fire projects. You will plan, organise and control costs, programme and technical aspects, leading the project team to ensure resources, safety and cost control to maximise profit.

You will engage with clients, subcontractors and suppliers, manage change, prepare cash flow forecasts and budgets, and report project status. Hybrid/flexible work options are available.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in project management in a commercial construction environment.
• Experience coordinating contractors and trades.
• Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work under pressure and deal with time constraints.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on the spot.
• High attention to detail.
• Good leadership skills with the ability to work independently.
• Sound computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office & Bluebeam, with the ability to draft construction programs.

Responsibilities

The Role

As a Project Manager, you will plan, organise and control the cost, program and technical aspects of the projects. You will lead the project team in financial, program, and safety aspects to ensure the site operates with the necessary resources to complete the project, while managing costs and maximising profit for the business. The role will require you to work in partnership with all employees across the business as well as clients, subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project sites.
