Job summary

Ivory Group in Sydney's CBD is seeking a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to deliver multiple commercial projects across Sydney, from high-end fitouts to new builds. You will own projects from early design through to handover, manage clients and site teams, and keep subcontractors accountable.

This role offers a clear pathway to Project Director for the right person, with mentoring from senior leadership and a supportive, collaborative culture.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

This Sydney CBD head contractor has built a reputation that speaks for itself, delivering high end commercial fitout, refurbishment and new build projects from $1M to $30M across commercial, hospitality, retail, government and education sectors. The client base is loyal, the pipeline is strong and the team is one people choose to stay in. Business is growing and they need a driven Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to come in, take ownership and deliver.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the Project Director, you will take full ownership of delivering multiple commercial projects across Sydney simultaneously. Whether it is a high end fitout, a complex refurbishment or a new build, you will be across everything from early design through to handover. You will manage the client relationship, lead your project and site team, keep subcontractors accountable and make sure every project lands on time, on budget and to a high standard. For the right person, the pathway to Project Director is real and within reach.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Must Have

• Background in commercial fitout, refurbishment or new build
• Strong communicator at client, team and subcontractor level
• Tertiary or trade qualification in a building related discipline

Preferred

• Experience delivering projects up to $10M
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a project and site team
• Stable and consistent work history with previous employers
• Experience working for a Sydney head contractor or builder
• Experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
