Job summary

Innovatus Projects is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate all aspects of project delivery, lead the project team and own the program, procurement, commercial performance, documentation and stakeholder communication on refurbishment, commercial fit-out, live-environment and design-and-construct projects.

You will lead weekly PCG and stakeholder meetings, manage budgets, risks and compliance, and ensure timely delivery with a focus on WHS and quality.

Job description

As Project Manager, you will coordinate all aspects of project delivery and lead the project team, including Contract Administrators, Site Managers, consultants and delivery partners. You will own the program, procurement, commercial performance, documentation, compliance, quality and stakeholder communication needed to achieve successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Lead the project team and establish clear responsibilities, delivery priorities, reporting rhythms and performance expectations.

Develop, maintain and drive the construction program, procurement schedule, design deliverables and critical milestones.

Coordinate procurement and subcontractor packages, including scope clarity, tender review, engagement, performance and close‑out.

Lead weekly PCG and stakeholder meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal leaders; issue accurate minutes and actions promptly.

Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost reporting, claims, variations, margin protection and commercial risk.

Oversee head‑contract and subcontract compliance and ensure notices, RFIs, variations and supporting records are complete and issued within required timeframes.

Integrate WHS, environmental, quality and compliance requirements into planning and delivery in partnership with Site Managers and the SEQ function.

Maintain accurate programs, registers, drawings, RFIs, meeting records, forecasts, claims and QA documentation in company systems, including Procore where applicable.

Report progress, financial position, risks, decisions and recovery actions clearly to clients and company leadership.

Resolve escalated design, procurement, WHS, commercial and delivery issues promptly, with documented actions and accountable owners.

About you

Demonstrated Project Manager experience delivering commercial construction, refurbishment, fit‑out, design‑and‑construct or live‑environment projects.

Strong capability across programming, procurement, contract administration, forecasting, variations, cost control and project reporting.

Proven leadership of Site Managers, Contract Administrators, consultants and subcontractors in a deadline‑driven environment.

Working knowledge of WHS, quality assurance, design coordination, services coordination and practical‑completion requirements.

Commercial judgement and the ability to identify risk early, make sound decisions and protect agreed project outcomes.

Confident client‑facing communication, meeting leadership and written reporting skills.

Current construction induction card (White Card) and a valid driver licence.

Capacity to travel, work away from home and support remote projects when required.

$150,000 base salary plus superannuation.
