Innovative Talent Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of a substantial residential portfolio in Melbourne's north‑west. You will lead a team of 15, manage 10–15 projects annually, and drive programs from planning through handover with a strong focus on quality and client relations.

You will oversee schedules, budgets and procurement, ensuring safety, compliance, and on-time delivery while mentoring team leaders and maintaining client trust.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project management within residential construction, landscaping or high-end outdoor build.
• Proven experience leading and managing teams, including direct reports.
• Exceptional people skills, with the ability to keep a large team in line without losing them.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, dependencies and resource planning.
• Must have current driver’s licence and the right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle across residential landscaping, design, build and construction.
• Run up to 15 concurrent projects.
• Develop and maintain project programs, Gantt charts, budgets and procurement schedules.
• Lead a team of 15 including direct reports.
• Coordinate site teams, trades, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Plan resourcing, project stages and site requirements, and identify delays before they hit the program.
• Identify variations early and escalate commercially.
• Liaise directly with clients throughout, protecting both quality and the relationship.
• Oversee quality, safety and compliance on site.
• Monitor labour, costs, margin and report to senior management.

Project Manager - Residential

A well-established landscaping, design and construction business in Melbourne's north-west is seeking an experienced project manager to take ownership of its residential portfolio and lead a team of 15.

This is an award-winning business with a reputation built on high-quality residential builds and outdoor construction, a strong design capability in-house, and strong staff retention. The work is visible, the standard is high quality and the projects are genuine wow factors.

About the Role

As the Project Manager you will own the residential portfolio end to end from planning and programming through to completion and handover. You will carry approximately 10-15 projects with annual projects roughly $10 million with the projection to increase this year on year and all whilst leading a solid team of 15 with team leaders reporting directly to you.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle across residential landscaping, design, build and construction
• Run up to 15 concurrent projects without losing detail on any of them
• Develop and maintain project programs, Gantt charts, budgets and procurement schedules
• Lead a team of 15 including direct reports, and hold the team accountable to standard
• Coordinate site teams, Team Leaders, trades, subcontractors and suppliers
• Plan resourcing, project stages and site requirements, and identify delays before they hit the program
• Identify variations early and escape properly so the right commercial call is made
• Liaise directly with clients throughout, protecting both quality and the relationship
• Oversee quality, safety and compliance on site
• Monitor labour, costs, margin and project performance, and report to senior management

About You

• 5+ years in project management within residential construction, landscaping or high-end outdoor build
• Proven experience leading and managing teams, including direct reports
• Exceptional people skills, with the ability to keep a large team in line without losing them
• Highly proficient in creating and driving Gantt charts and project programs
• Strong understanding of scheduling, dependencies and resource planning
• Creative and solutions-focused, particularly when something changes on site
• Commercially aware, with the judgement to elevate a variation rather than solve it alone
• Confident holding a hard conversation and keeping the room onside
• Thick-skinned, empathetic, straight talking
• Current driver's licence and the right to work in Australia
• Must be able to undergo a medical clearance
