Our client in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a 10-level apartment development in West Melbourne, overseeing construction, handover and project governance. You will drive commercial performance, manage the project team and key stakeholders, and ensure milestones are met with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in construction with Head Contractor experience and a proven track record delivering multi-level apartment schemes.

About the Role

You will take the lead on the delivery of a 10-level apartment development in West Melbourne, managing the project through construction, completion and handover. As the senior project lead, you will be responsible for the overall commercial, programme and operational performance of the project while leading the wider site and project team.

Job Requirements

• Ideally 8+ years’ construction experience
• Strong and proven Head Contractor experience is essential
• Previous experience delivering multi-level apartment projects
• Experience working within established Tier 2 or similarly structured contractors highly regarded
• Demonstrated experience taking ownership of projects from construction through to handover
• Strong commercial and contractual capability
• Proven ability to lead Site Managers, Contract Administrators and project teams
• Strong understanding of programming, procurement and construction methodology
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or similar
