Job summary

AEMO’s Future Energy Systems team seeks a capable Project Manager to deliver strategic programs supporting Australia’s evolving energy system. You’ll join a cross-functional environment, collaborate with technical specialists and stakeholders, and drive changes across multiple initiatives.

Reporting to the Manager, Engineering Roadmap & Service Delivery, you will manage scope, schedules, budgets and governance while delivering measurable outcomes in a dynamic energy landscape.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex projects or programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear plans and communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of complex programs and projects, managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies and governance.
• Partner with engineers, operational teams and stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into practical delivery plans and measurable outcomes.
• Build strong relationships across AEMO and industry, proactively engaging stakeholders and driving alignment.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver key initiatives with milestones, decisions and actions.
• Prepare clear project reporting, communications and recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to establish outcomes and next steps.
• Adapt to changing priorities and ambiguous environments while improving delivery and governance.
