Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) is seeking a Project Manager - Future Energy Systems to deliver strategic programs supporting Australia’s energy transition. You’ll partner with technical experts and stakeholders to plan, coordinate and realise outcomes in a fast-changing environment.

This role reports to the Manager, Engineering Roadmap & Service Delivery and will drive cross‑functional delivery across the CER and Engineering Roadmap initiatives, with flexible location across AEMO

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex projects or programs, ideally within energy or infrastructure.
• Ability to manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks and governance to timelines.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of complex programs and projects.
• Partner with engineers and stakeholders to translate priorities into delivery plans.
• Build relationships across AEMO and industry to drive alignment.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver initiatives.
• Prepare clear project reporting and recommendations.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with clear outcomes.
• Adapt to changing priorities and identify delivery improvements.
