Job summary

Duratec is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver complex construction and remediation projects across the Central Queensland region from our Gladstone office. You’ll help build a high-performing local team and contribute to our growing regional culture.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or relevant trade qualification.
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects from initiation through to completion.
• Strong commercial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, cost control and contract administration.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop high-performing project teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build lasting client, subcontractor and supplier relationships.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe and successful delivery of construction, remediation and infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control and commercial performance to maximise profitability and achieve project objectives.
• Administer client contracts, progress claims and variations, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and maintaining a strong commercial position.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders to support project success and future opportunities.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate project teams, creating a collaborative and high-performing culture while supporting the growth of Duratec's Central Queensland operations.
• Drive safety, quality and operational excellence across all project activities, ensuring compliance with company systems, legislative requirements and HSEQ standards.
