Job summary

Duratec is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Gladstone to lead complex construction and remediation projects across Central Queensland. You will help establish a high-performing local team and contribute to regional culture while supporting business growth.

You will drive safe delivery, manage budgets and contracts, mentor project teams, and build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or relevant trade qualification.
• Experience delivering complex projects from initiation through to completion.
• Strong commercial acumen with budgeting, forecasting and contract administration.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing project teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe and successful delivery of construction, remediation and infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control and commercial performance to maximise profitability and achieve project objectives.
• Administer client contracts, progress claims and variations, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and maintaining a strong commercial position.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders to support project success and future opportunities.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate project teams, creating a collaborative and high-performing culture while supporting the growth of Duratec's Central Queensland operations.
• Drive safety, quality and operational excellence across all project activities, ensuring compliance with company systems, legislative requirements and HSEQ standards.
