Job summary

Duratec is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver complex construction and remediation projects across Central Queensland from our Gladstone base, helping establish and shape a high-performing local team and culture.

You will lead safety, budgets, contracts and stakeholder relationships, mentor project teams and drive quality and continuous improvement as the business grows in the region.

Qualifications

• Engineering or construction management degree or relevant trade.
• Experience delivering complex projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and cost control skills.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor project teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong planning, problem solving and decision making in fast-paced environments.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe and successful delivery of construction, remediation and infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control and commercial performance to maximise profitability and achieve project objectives.
• Administer client contracts, progress claims and variations, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate project teams, creating a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Drive safety, quality and operational excellence across all project activities, ensuring compliance with company systems and HSEQ standards.
