Job summary

Morson Edge Australia is seeking an ambitious Project Engineer or Junior Project Manager to take the next step in their construction career. This role provides a genuine, structured pathway toward becoming a Project Manager, with mentorship from a Project Manager and Site Manager and exposure to the full project lifecycle.

Current projects sit around the $10m construction value, spanning Commercial/Industrial sectors, plus Hospitality, Retail and office spaces.

Qualifications

• Experience working for a reputable construction contractor.
• Currently working as a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Junior Project Manager, or Contract Administrator with site-based experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, programming, procurement, contracts, and project delivery.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across South East Queensland.

We're working with an established builder which specialises in construction projects for a combination of fit-out, refurbishment and new builds. This is an opportunity to join a growing team delivering secure, technically interesting construction projects across South East Queensland. With offices in QLD and NSW, the client is committed to delivering quality projects throughout South-East Queensland.

About the Role

We are looking to identify an ambitious Project Engineer or Junior Project Manager who is ready to take the next step in their construction career. This role offers a genuine and structured pathway towards becoming a Project Manager in the future. You will work closely with and be mentored by a Project Manager and Site Manager, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle while taking on increasing responsibility. Current projects sit within the Commercial / Industrial sector around the $10m construction value marker, but also include Hospitality, Retail and Commercial offices and business spaces.

Requirements

• Experience working for a reputable construction contractor
• Currently working as a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Junior Project Manager, or Contract Administrator with site-based experience
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, programming, procurement, contracts, and project delivery
• Comfortable working closely with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients
• Ambitious, organised, and keen to progress into a full Project Manager position in the future
• Willingness to travel to project sites across South East Queensland
