Job summary

Compnow seeks a Project Manager to deliver successful AV projects for Higher Education clients, coordinating with customers, internal teams and external partners to achieve outcomes on time and to a high standard.

You will manage multiple projects concurrently, both remotely and on-site, developing plans, risk registers, and communication strategies while ensuring delivery within scope and budget. Travel to Melbourne sites will be required.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years' experience as a Project Manager in IT/services or managed services, with AV projects preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple Higher Education projects concurrently.
  • PM certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or Scrum are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end project management for customers, remotely and on-site as needed.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, risk registers, and communication plans.
  • Coordinate internal resources, vendors, and third-party suppliers throughout the lifecycle.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, scope, risks and dependencies to meet agreed outcomes.
  • Ensure projects comply with Compnow's PM frameworks, governance and quality standards.
  • Identify process improvements and contribute to evolving delivery practices.

What you’ll do?

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering successful AV projects for our Higher Education customers, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within scope, and to a high standard. Working closely with customers, internal teams, and external partners, you'll manage multiple projects concurrently while providing exceptional stakeholder engagement and project leadership.

  • Perform end-to-end project management for our customers, remotely and on-site in a consultancy capacity where necessary
  • Develop project plans, schedules, risk registers, and communication plans to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate internal technical resources, vendors, and third-party suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, scope, risks, and dependencies to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with Compnow's project management frameworks, governance processes, and quality standards
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the ongoing development of project delivery practices.

What you’ll bring?

  • 6+ years' experience in a Project Manager role within IT services, technology, or managed services environment, particularly with Audio-Visual projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently in the Higher Education space, following industry standard project management practices.
  • Relevant Project Management qualifications or certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or similar) highly regarded.
  • Ability to work effectively within established budgets, timelines, and delivery frameworks.
  • Interpersonal with internal and external stakeholders and ability to think quickly under pressure.

What else do you need to apply?

  • Travel on-site to our office in Notting Hill and to our client sites across Melbourne.
  • Must be an Australian resident available to work full time without restrictions.

Compnow will provide and require all successful applicants to complete a current National Police Check as well as a new or updated state-based Working With Children Check.
