Job summary

Wired By MJD is seeking a passionate Project Manager to own delivery of premium AV, cinema, and home automation projects across Melbourne. The role is hands-on, with on-site coordination and close collaboration with the Senior Solutions Architect to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

The successful candidate will lead planning, scheduling, and end-to-end project delivery, maintaining confidentiality on high-net-worth sites and ensuring client satisfaction from handover

Qualifications

• Qualified A-Grade Victorian Electrician.
• Current Victorian Security License.
• Cabling License holder.
• WWCC (Working With Children Check) required.
• Current manual driver’s licence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, scheduling and end-to-end delivery of AV, cinema and home automation projects from handover to client sign-off.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resourcing and procurement.
• Coordinate on-site activity across multiple projects in Metro Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.
• Act as main point of contact for clients, builders, architects and designers with clear communication.

Job description

We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Project Manager to join our team and take ownership of delivering premium AV, cinema and home automation projects across Melbourne. This is a dedicated project management role — but we want someone who remains enthusiastic and hands‑on, willing to jump in on the tools when required to ensure projects are delivered to the standard our company and clients expect.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, scheduling and end-to-end delivery of AV, cinema and home automation projects, from handover through to completion and client sign-off.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resourcing and procurement.
• Coordinate day-to-day on-site activity across multiple concurrent projects throughout Metro Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, builders, architects, interior designers and other trades, maintaining clear, professional communication throughout each project.
• Uphold strict confidentiality and discretion at all times, particularly when working with high-net-worth clients and on sensitive sites.
• Manage client expectations proactively, resolving concerns quickly and professionally to protect the company's reputation.
• Coordinate and direct programmers, technicians, electrical apprentices and subcontractors to ensure projects are resourced and running to schedule.
• Work closely with the Senior Solutions Architect on system design intent, scope and technical delivery.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure workmanship meets Wired By MJD's quality standards and complies with all relevant electrical and safety regulations.
• Maintain compliance across licensing, WH&S and site-specific requirements for all projects.
