Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major brownfields upgrade in a large minerals processing operation in Australia. You will oversee the full lifecycle from FEL3 through construction, commissioning and handover, coordinating teams, contractors and stakeholders.

The role requires engineering or project management qualifications with 10+ years’ experience delivering multi‑million dollar projects. A focus on safety, schedule and cost control is essential.

Project Manager | Major Brownfields Processing Project

South Perth / Southwest WA | 12-Month Initial Contract | Long-Term Opportunity

An opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major brownfields upgrade project within a large-scale minerals processing operation.

This role will oversee the full project lifecycle, from front-end studies through execution, commissioning, and handover, on a high-value growth project involving major plant upgrades and new processing infrastructure.

The Opportunity

• Lead a significant brownfields capital project valued at approximately $150M.


• Manage delivery from FEL3 through construction, commissioning, and project close-out.


• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers, and operational stakeholders.


• Drive performance across safety, schedule, cost, quality, and risk management.


• Ensure operational readiness, successful handover, and long-term project outcomes.

About You

• Degree qualified in Engineering or Project Management.


• 10+ years' experience delivering industrial or resource sector projects.


• Proven track record managing projects valued at $10M+.


• Strong experience across both study phases and project execution.


• Background in minerals processing, chemical processing, refineries, or heavy industrial environments highly regarded.


• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
