Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Project Lead - Civil Execution in Gladstone, Queensland for a 12-month contract with extension potential. The role centers on leading the execution of tailings infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.

You will coordinate with construction, design and technical teams to deliver sustainable solutions. Ideal candidates will bring a Civil Engineering degree, P.E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and professional registration or equivalent.
• Experience leading large scale civil infrastructure or mining earthworks projects.
• Strong leadership of multidisciplinary engineering consultants and contractors.

Project Lead - Civil Execution

12 month Contract with strong outlook for extension – Gladstone, Queensland

Step into a senior leadership role delivering critical tailings infrastructure as a Civil Execution Project Lead based in Gladstone, Queensland.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the successful execution of large scale civil earthworks capital project ensuring compliance with safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements. As the driving force behind the execution phase, you will collaborate closely with construction, design, and technical teams to deliver effective, practical, and sustainable infrastructure solutions.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering


• Registered Professional Engineer (or equivalent accreditation)


• Extensive experience managing large scale civil infrastructure or mining related earthworks projects intailings facilities, residue management, or dam infrastructure


• Proven leadership managing multidisciplinary engineering consultants and contractors


• Strong knowledge of design governance, risk management, and technical assurance


• Skilled in project planning including cost estimating, schedule tracking, procurement, and quality assurance


• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills


• Commitment to enforcing health and safety regulations and promoting a safe work environment
