Job summary

We are seeking experienced Project Engineers with Mechanical and Structural disciplines for refurbishment, upgrade, and recommissioning of a gold processing plant at Lake Johnston, Western Australia. Contract role with an 8 on / 6 off roster, DIDO pool car travel, meals and accommodation on site.

The project covers refurbishment and upgrade of structural steel, piping, platework, conveyors, mills, and process equipment, with a focus on safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of on-site experience.
  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Structural).
  • Proven experience delivering mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial projects.
  • Strong experience in brownfield refurbishment, shutdowns, plant upgrades, or capital projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and full Australian working rights.
  • Current National Police Clearance.
  • Ability to pass a Pre Employment Medical.

Responsibilities

  • Managing project delivery to meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule goals.
  • Plan and coordinate engineering and construction activities.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and short-term work plans.
  • Prepare scopes of work, technical documentation, and engineering deliverables.
  • Coordinate fabrication, site installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Implement QA systems, including ITPs, quality inspections, NCR management, and handover documentation.
  • Monitor progress and resolve technical issues.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, engineering, and client requirements.

About the Project
