Public Transport Authority in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the METRONET on Swan Project and oversee ferry service expansions on the Swan River, working with government and industry partners in a large organisation.
You will manage in-house and private sector teams, deliver complex, medium to high-risk infrastructure works, and ensure safety, timeliness, budget adherence and quality while driving stakeholder engagement and contract management.
Western Australia's public transport network is entering an exciting period of growth, with major investments transforming the way communities connect and travel. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to play a key role in the delivery of the METRONET on Swan Project, helping shape the future of ferry services across the Swan River. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-profile program that will leave a lasting legacy for the community while working alongside industry experts and government stakeholders in a large and complex organisation.
The role will involve leading project teams of in-house and private sector professionals to plan and deliver low to medium-risk projects associated with the expansion of the ferry network. Key deliverables include the delivery of all required works at Matilda Bay and Barrack Square, securing the approvals necessary for expanded ferry operations, supporting the development of Operational Readiness Plans, and overseeing cultural awareness training initiatives. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will manage complex project interfaces, coordinate contractors and consultants, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Success in this role will require exceptional project management, leadership, stakeholder management and contract management skills. You will build strong relationships across government, industry, community and internal partners, navigating competing priorities and complex stakeholder environments to achieve positive outcomes. We are looking for a proactive and influential professional who thrives on delivering meaningful infrastructure projects, leading diverse teams and contributing to transport initiatives that enhance connectivity and improve the passenger experience for Western Australians. Applicants must hold a current Western Australian 'C' or 'C-A' Class Driver's Licence (or equivalent) and be willing to work outside normal business hours when required.
