Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering major property, housing, urban renewal or infrastructure projects of significant scale.

• Experience managing complex stakeholder environments, including mixed-tenure or affordable housing.
• Ability to identify development risks and keep delivery on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver the project strategy for large-scale housing projects.
• Manage delivery across due diligence, funding, planning, procurement and completion.
• Develop transaction strategy and delivery model; resolve complex commercial issues.
• Prepare and manage budgets and advise on development feasibility.
• Run due diligence and risk assessments with mitigation strategies.
• Manage relationships with councils, consultants, contractors, tenants and the community.
• Report to executive and governance forums ensuring probity, procurement and WHS compliance.

The Opportunity

A major residential developer is looking for experienced Project Leads to drive major residential apartment projects. These are complex projects with a lot of stakeholders, covering the full lifecycle from post acquisition through to completion.

This is a 12 month contract with high probability to extend.

Responsibilities:

• Shape and deliver the project, commercial, funding and delivery strategy for large scale housing projects
• Manage delivery across due diligence, funding and approvals, planning, procurement, development management and completion
• Develop the transaction strategy and delivery model, resolve complex commercial issues and lead negotiations
• Prepare and manage budgets, and advise on development feasibility
• Run due diligence and risk assessments, and put mitigation strategies in place
• Manage relationships with councils, authorities, consultants, contractors, tenants and the community
• Report to executive and governance forums, making sure the project meets probity, procurement and WHS requirements

About you

• A proven record delivering major property, housing, urban renewal or infrastructure projects of significant scale and complexity
• Strong strategic, commercial and technical leadership across the whole project lifecycle
• Experience running complex stakeholder environments, ideally including mixed-tenure or affordable housing
• Confidence identifying development risks and constraints and keeping delivery on track
• Able to manage several priorities and hit critical milestones while working closely with internal teams
