Job summary

South West Radiology is seeking an experienced Project Implementation Manager to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of new radiology practices, site expansions and major operational implementations across our growing network. Lead the delivery of new radiology sites and technology enabled projects

South West Radiology is seeking an experienced Project Implementation Manager to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of new radiology practices, site expansions and major operational implementations across our growing network.

This is a hands on role responsible for bringing projects from concept through to operational readiness and successful go live. You will coordinate clinical, operational, technology, facilities, equipment, vendor and compliance requirements to ensure each project is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will work closely with senior leadership, radiologists, radiographers, sonographers, practice managers, IT teams, contractors, suppliers and external partners.

About the role

As Project Implementation Manager, you will manage the end to end implementation of new and enhanced radiology services. This will include coordinating facilities, equipment, modalities, RIS/PACS, staffing, workflows, training, testing and go live activities.

You will be responsible for maintaining project momentum, identifying risks early, resolving issues and ensuring all stakeholders understand their responsibilities and deadlines.

The role will involve regular travel to South West Radiology sites and project locations across Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed implementation plans for new radiology sites, establishing project scope, milestones, deliverables, responsibilities, dependencies and timelines.
• Coordinate workstreams across clinical, operational, administrative, technical, facilities and commercial teams.
• Maintain project plans, action registers, risk registers, issue logs and decision records.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to leadership.
• Identify delays, risks and dependencies and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate the operational readiness of new radiology practices from planning through to opening.
• Coordinate the implementation and readiness of all applicable imaging modalities.
• Coordinate the setup and testing of RIS, PACS, reporting, booking, telephony and related systems.
• Design and implement end to end workflows for referrals, bookings, patient arrival, preparation, examination, image processing, reporting and results communication.
• Develop and coordinate the go live plan, including responsibilities, contacts and escalation procedures.

About you

• Experience in project management, healthcare operations, medical imaging, clinical implementation or a similar role.
• Experience establishing, opening or transitioning healthcare, medical imaging or clinical service sites.
• Knowledge of radiology workflows across multiple modalities.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders, vendors, contractors and service providers.
• Experience developing and implementing operational procedures, workflows and systems.
• Experience managing project timelines, risks, budgets, dependencies and deliverables.
• Understanding of radiology modalities, including X ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, OPG/CBCT, DEXA and interventional or procedural services.
• Knowledge of RIS, PACS, modality worklists, reporting systems and healthcare integrations.
• Strong project planning, organisation and documentation skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
