Job summary

MCA Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for our Australian mining, industrial and construction projects. You will translate project specs, permits and drawings into work packs and execution plans, support planning, scheduling and on-site delivery while upholding safety and quality standards.

You'll liaise with engineers, site supervisors and contractors, monitor progress, inspect sites, manage documentation and change controls, and contribute to project meetings.

Qualifications

• Requires tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years' experience in mechanical project engineering within mining, industrial SMP or construction environments.
• Experience delivering mechanical installation, maintenance or shutdown projects.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and construction documentation.

About the role

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years' experience in mechanical project engineering within mining, industrial, SMP or construction environments
• Experience delivering mechanical installation, maintenance or shutdown projects
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and construction documentation
• Strong site-based experience and understanding of safety, quality and construction compliance requirements
• Excellent communication, planning and coordination skills
• Confident working independently in remote locations on rostered projects
• Familiarity with MS Project and Excel
• Familiarity with ITP’s, FIC’s, ITR’s and other quality assurance documentation
• Must be able to pass regular drug & alcohol testing and site medical requirements
• Must be a team player and communicate effectively with tradesmen with different backgrounds and skillsets
