Job summary

Built is delivering a major data centre project in Sydney and seeks a Project Engineer to join the team. You will coordinate engineering activities, manage documentation, and work with design, procurement and site teams to keep work progressing safely and efficiently.

You will collaborate with consultants and subcontractors, contributing to project milestones and continuous improvement while mentoring emerging engineers within a fast-paced, high-profile program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related field.
• Experience delivering large-scale commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, buildability and quality systems.
• Confidently engage with consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Excellent planning, communication and coordination skills; proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities to align with design intent, schedule and milestones.
• Manage technical documentation, RFIs, shop drawings and approvals to keep fronts progressing.
• Collaborate with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve design and construction challenges.

Take the next step in your engineering career on one of Sydney's most significant data centre projects. At Built, you'll play a key role in delivering complex, technically challenging work while being supported by experienced project leaders who will help you grow into a senior engineering position.

The Opportunity

As a Project Engineer, you'll be part of the team delivering our major data centre project at Marsden Park. Working closely with project, design, commercial and site teams, you'll help coordinate the technical and operational aspects of delivery, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

In This Role You Will

• Drive engineering coordination to ensure construction activities align with design intent, program objectives and project milestones
• Manage technical documentation, RFIs, shop drawings and approvals to keep work fronts progressing
• Partner with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve design and construction challenges
• Support procurement activities, material lead times and subcontractor coordination across key project packages
• Champion quality, safety and continuous improvement while helping mentor emerging engineers and graduates

Success in this role will come from your ability to anticipate issues, build strong relationships and maintain momentum across multiple project interfaces in a fast-paced environment.
