Job summary

Parratech is seeking a Project Engineer-Manager in Melbourne to lead the efficient delivery of prefabricated solutions. You will report to the Head of Delivery and drive project planning, resource coordination, procurement, and on-site management.

Emphasis on risk management, continuous improvement, and safety compliance to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes. You will engage with internal teams and external stakeholders, deliver weekly progress reports, and contribute to monthly board-level

As Project Engineer-Manager at Parratech, you will lead the efficient execution of cutting-edge prefabricated solutions. Reporting to the Head of Delivery, your responsibilities include project planning, resource coordination, supplier negotiations/engagement, stakeholder communication, site management and quality assurance. With a focus on risk management, continuous improvement, and safety compliance, you'll ensure the timely delivery of high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Project Planning and Execution:
• Develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with overall manufacturing strategies.
• Execute projects efficiently, meeting, or exceeding labour hour targets and allocated hours.
• Perform, transmit, and review the work execution schedule to ensure project timelines are adhered to.
• Attend project sites daily to oversee progress, address issues promptly, and ensure on-site activities align with project plans.
• 2. Resource Coordination:
• Collaborate with the Head of Manufacturing to coordinate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure optimal resource allocation for timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Check that project resources are executed correctly, maintaining efficiency and quality standards.
• 3. Stakeholder Communication:
• Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders to communicate project milestones, timelines, and any deviations.
• Foster effective collaboration to ensure seamless integration of client requirements into project plans.
• Submit a weekly report to the Head of Manufacturing on the progress and execution.
• Identify potential risks to project timelines and budgets.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Actively seek opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency improvement within offsite project management.
• Display a high level of technical understanding in specific areas such as electrical, fabrication, or fit out.
• 6. Procurement and Material Coordination:
• Co-ordinate procurement and delivery of materials to support the timely progression of projects.
• 7. Reporting and Analysis:
• Provide weekly progress reports on actual vs planned.
• Identify & communicate projects areas / components of timing & cost (future req.) concern.
• Generate regular reports on project performance, labour hour utilisation, and deviations from the plan.
• Collaborate with the Head of Manufacturing in providing insights for monthly reports to the Board, Directors, and other Heads of Departments.
• 8. Safety Compliance:
• Prioritise safety measures within offsite project operations.
• Liaise regularly with Parratech Safety manager regarding related project works and activities,
• Attendance at Monthly Safety meetings
• Provide direct updates to the Head of Manufacturing regarding the daily operations of the projects, along with weekly reports distributed to Directors and other Department Heads.
