Job summary

Parratech is seeking a Factory Supervisor to lead the safe, reliable and efficient day-to-day operation of manufacturing, warehousing, transport and logistics activities across Australia and New Zealand. You will coordinate people, materials, plant and delivery priorities to meet safety, quality, output and customer-service targets.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership that makes health and safety, quality and environmental responsibility integral to daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with the Parratech health and safety system, regulations and approved codes of practice applying in the relevant state or territory.
• Ensure hazards and risks are identified, controls are implemented using the hierarchy of controls, workers are consulted, and required training, licences and competency verifications are maintained.
• Maintain effective safe work procedures, permits, plant risk assessments, isolation systems, incident notification, emergency response and contractor management arrangements.
• Ensure plant, structures, vehicles and equipment are fit for purpose, registered or licensed where required, maintained, inspected and operated by competent personnel.
• Review the approved production schedule and translate it into clear shift tasks, labour assignments and material priorities.
• Conduct pre-start meetings, confirm resource readiness and communicate safety, quality, output and delivery expectations.
• Monitor work in progress and respond to breakdowns, shortages, quality issues and competing priorities, escalating constraints that threaten delivery timeframes.
• Work with engineering, quality and planning personnel to implement approved changes and production-readiness actions.
• Sequence deliveries and loads in line with the approved plan, production completion, site access, customer priorities and delivery windows.
• Apply relevant Chain of Responsibility controls under the Heavy Vehicle National Law, or corresponding jurisdictional road transport requirements, and Escalate actual or potential breaches immediately.
• Verify that loads are correctly packaged, restrained, mass-compliant, dimension-compliant and documented before release.
• Ensure work is completed to approved specifications, inspection requirements, standard work and Parratech's quality system.
• Contain defects, rework, damage and customer-impacting issues; support root-cause analysis and implement assigned corrective actions.
• Identify improvement opportunities, provide operational input and implement approved changes under the direction of management.
• Set clear daily expectations, allocate work and monitor attendance, conduct, productivity and compliance.
• Confirm shift coverage and skills availability and promptly escalates gaps requiring overtime, labour hire or recruitment approval.
• Provide on-the-job coaching, constructive feedback and documented input to formal performance and development processes.
• Promote respectful communication, consultation, teamwork and early resolution of workplace issues.

Position Summary:.

The Factory Supervisor is responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient day-to-day operation of assigned manufacturing, warehousing, transport and logistics activities. The role provides visible frontline leadership, coordinates people, materials, plant and delivery priorities, and ensures each shift meets agreed safety, quality, output, cost and customer-service requirements. The Factory Supervisor implements operational plans set by management, resolves routine issues within delegated authority and promptly escalates significant risks, constraints and performance concerns.

Responsibilities:
