Job summary

Parratech is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to help uphold high standards across our construction and manufacturing projects in Australia. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will assist with QA procedures, inspections, and continuous improvement to ensure on-time, on-spec delivery.

You should have strong attention to detail, solid experience in QA within industrial settings, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to maintain quality of materials and

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quality Engineer.
• Experience in construction or manufacturing industries preferred.
• Strong understanding of QA processes, materials, safety regulations, and quality management.
• Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Welding experience would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Quality Manager with daily QA tasks.
• Maintain quality control systems to ensure site activities meet standards.
• Conduct inspections and assess materials and components at various production stages.
• Identify potential quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Report non-conformances and drive corrective/preventative actions.
• Lead quality audits and maintain comprehensive records.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet specs.
• Provide training on quality standards and procedures.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve delivery.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Key Skills:

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quality Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Quality Manager with daily tasks and responsibilities as required.
• Maintain quality control systems to ensure all site activities meet the required standards and specifications.
• Conduct inspections, assessment of materials and components at various stages of production, fabrication and construction
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify and report on non-conformances.
• Conduct quality audits to assess conformance and identify improvement areas.
• Develop and maintain systems to capture defects and prevent non-conformances.
• Ensure 100% compliance to agreed customer specifications for all products and processes.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality records, reports, and documentation to track project progress and compliance.
• Act as a hands‑on resource within the production team to analyse root causes of defects and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Work closely with the Quality Manager and other relevant team members to promote quality best practices and address any quality concerns.
• Liaise with suppliers and ensure incoming materials meet quality specifications.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on quality standards, procedures and tools.
• Lead initiatives to continuously improve quality processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall project delivery.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and company policies.
