Job summary

Parratech is seeking an enthusiastic Engineer to join our Design & Engineering team in Australia. You will contribute to testing and commissioning for all project elements, ensuring operations meet internal and external requirements.

The role combines technical execution with project management to deliver successful outcomes for clients across ANZ. The successful candidate will liaise with site teams, review equipment wiring, develop commissioning plans, and produce comprehensive documentation

Responsibilities

This position ensures that operational function complies with both internal and external requirements. The position is central to the success of engineering projects, bringing together technical expertise and project management skills to deliver projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. 1.Technical Assistance & Equipment

   Liaise with site electrical team to provide technical instruction and assistance with the collaboration and direction of the engineers.

   Review equipment wiring for accuracy and workmanship.

   Understand control schematic drawings, cable schedules and termination schedules.

   Assist with coordination and installation of devices and sensors.

2. 2.Testing and Commissioning

   Complete all Testing and commissioning requirements in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols

   Develop and execute detailed commissioning plans, including test protocols, schedules, and safety procedures.

   Conduct functional testing and performance validation of systems, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and client expectations.

3. 3. Documentation and Reporting

   Produce and maintain accurate and complete commissioning documentation including test reports, certifications, and punch lists.

   Ensure timely submission of progress reports, tracking commissioning milestones and deliverables.

   Prepare document packages for audits, inspections, and submissions.

4. 4.Planning

   Develop comprehensive commissioning plans integrated with project timelines and construction sequences.

   Track and report progress against commissioning milestones, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.

   Coordinate resource allocation for commissioning teams, tools, and equipment to optimize workflow efficiency.

   Forecast risks and delays in the commissioning phase and proactively update plans to mitigate disruptions.

5. 5.Troubleshooting and Problem Solving

   Identify and resolve issues encountered during testing and commissioning through systematic root cause analysis.

   Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to implement effective corrective actions.

   Adapt commissioning strategies in real-time to overcome on-site technical or operational challenges.

   Document problem-solving processes and integrate findings into project lessons learned.

6. 6.Collaboration with Cross Functional Teams

   Engage with engineering, QA/QC, construction, and operations teams to align commissioning activities with project goals.

   Facilitate regular coordination meetings to discuss progress, resolve issues, and ensure smooth project transitions.

   Provide technical support to clients and operations teams following system handover to ensure smooth transition to full operation.

   Respond promptly to performance issues or system faults during the initial operation period.

   Lead warranty phase coordination and monitor system performance for compliance with contractual obligation.

7. 8.Continuous Improvement and Innovation

   Identify and implement improvements in commissioning processes, tools, and procedures for greater efficiency and quality.

   Promote innovation through the adoption of new technologies, commissioning software, and digital reporting tools.
