Job summary

Seymour Whyte Constructions – Toogoolawah QLD is delivering the Cressbrook Dam Safety Improvement Project, a major dam safety upgrade in the Toowoomba Region. We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to coordinate on-site structural works and collaborate with project stakeholders.

Based on site in Biarra, the role offers project uplift, DIDO and LAFHA conditions, and the chance to contribute to a high-profile civil infrastructure program.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects with structures experience.
• Understanding of client specifications, quality requirements and ITPs.
• Experience administering head contracts and subcontract agreements.
• Exposure to contractual claims, variations and project cost management.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, planning and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage on-site structures activities, ensuring works are delivered per plans and programme.
• Manage subcontractors, labour, plant, and site resources to drive productivity and quality.
• Monitor construction progress, identify risks and issues, support delivery of objectives.
• Oversee project forecasting, cost control, productivity tracking and reporting.
• Prepare, review and maintain project documentation including SWMS and ITPs.
• Mentor and develop engineers and contribute to meetings and toolbox talks.
