Job summary

Seymour Whyte is delivering the Cressbrook Dam Safety Improvement Project in the Toowoomba Region. We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to coordinate on-site structural works and work closely with stakeholders to align with project objectives.

Based on site in Biarra, you will manage subcontractors, cost control and documentation such as SWMS and ITPs, while mentoring engineers and supporting site meetings to drive a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) required.
• Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects with structures.
• Understand client specifications and ITP development.
• Experience administering head contracts and subcontract agreements.
• Exposure to contractual claims, variations and cost management.
• Ability to manage budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage on-site structures activities, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project plans, specifications and programme requirements
• Manage subcontractors, labour, plant, and site resources to drive productivity and ensure quality outcomes
• Monitor construction progress, identify risks and issues, and support the successful delivery of project objectives
• Oversee project forecasting, cost control, productivity tracking and reporting to support commercial outcomes
• Prepare, review and maintain project documentation including SWMS and ITPs
• Mentor and develop engineers while contributing to site meetings, pre-starts and toolbox talks to foster a high-performing project team
