Our vision is to create a single integrated transport network accessible to everyone - no department has a bigger role to play in keeping the Queensland of today moving, or in helping build for the future.To help keep Queensland moving, we are actively recruiting for a Project Director - Major Public Transport Projects with:Accountabilities include:Lead and manage the project team, consultants and contractors to ensure all members are appropriately skilled and utilised, and to ensure deliverable, time and budgetary requirements are met.Investigate and resolve complex engineering and contract issues associated with the project to improve overall performance and ensure value for money.Monitor and report on project progress against predetermined time, cost and quality specifications.Prepare and deliver submissions and reports relating to planning, design and technical (including contract) issues and identify appropriate mitigation strategies to overcome problems or obstacles related to the project.Provide specialist advice to senior management on all aspects of the project and make technical presentations as required.Identify and harness the necessary internal and external expertise to deliver project requirements, including the selection, engagement and procurement of consultants and contractors.Promote a positive and productive project culture and manage development and implementation of the total project plan in relation to integration, human resources, scope, communication, time, risk, cost procurement and quality.Act as \"Principal Representative's delegate\" for the delivery contracts, if required, as defined and delegated at respective development/implementation phases.Capture shared project learnings, develop, and foster best practice technology and project management methodology within Transport and Main Roads.Establish and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders while leading and directing the development of staff in the areas of achievement, workforce and succession planning, budget and business planning processes.For further information please refer to the Role Description.We celebrate diversity in creating a workplace culture that is built on respect, dignity and fairness.
