Job description

About Us:

Com Built is the construction arm of Sydney Tools, one of Australia's leading tools and equipment retailers.

We are a growing construction business looking for an organised, motivated and proactive Project Coordinator to join our team.

This is an opportunity for someone with strong coordination and administrative skills who enjoys working with people, managing competing priorities and being involved in the delivery of construction projects.

Immediate start available for the right candidate.

About the Role:

As a Project Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of construction projects from start to finish.

Working closely with our Project Managers, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams, you will help manage project schedules, documentation, procurement and day-to-day coordination to ensure projects run efficiently and remain on track.

This is more than an administrative position. You will gain practical exposure to construction project delivery, develop your understanding of site operations and have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as your experience grows.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Assist Project Managers with coordinating construction projects from planning through to completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers and site requirements.
  • Maintain project schedules, timelines and progress updates.
  • Assist with purchase orders, quotations, procurement and contract variations.
  • Prepare, organise and maintain project documentation, reports and records.
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate site access, inductions, deliveries and material requirements.
  • Monitor upcoming project activities to ensure resources and materials are available when required.
  • Assist with tracking project budgets, costs and expenditure.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications and project information.
  • Follow up outstanding tasks, approvals and documentation to keep projects moving.
  • Support compliance with relevant WHS, building and quality requirements.
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in project coordination, construction administration or a similar coordination role would be highly regarded.
  • Exposure to residential, commercial, duplex or similar construction projects would be advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project records.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • An interest in developing a long-term career in construction and project management.
  • A valid driver's licence and full Australian working rights.

Experience with construction drawings, project scheduling, procurement or project management software will be highly regarded.

What's on Offer?
  • Competitive salary package, negotiable depending on experience.
  • Permanent, full-time position with a growing construction business.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Free onsite parking at our Roselands office.
  • Hands-on exposure to construction project coordination and delivery.
  • Opportunity to learn from experienced Project Managers and construction professionals.
  • Genuine career development opportunities, with potential progression into project management.
  • Supportive team environment where you can take ownership of your work and develop your skills.
