Sydney Tools is seeking a practical, motivated Project Manager to join our team and help deliver construction projects from planning to handover. This role blends project management with hands-on on-site involvement, working with architects, consultants and site teams to keep work progressing safely and to standard.
You will coordinate DA plans, review drawings, manage schedules and budgets, and oversee contractors and suppliers.
Sydney Tools is a major national retailer with a construction arm delivering a broad range of building projects. From retail developments and commercial fit-outs to refurbishments, maintenance and upgrades, our team manages the work that brings these spaces to life.
We’re looking for a practical, motivated Project Manager to join the team and help deliver projects from the early planning stages through to completion.
This role combines project management and coordination with regular, hands-on involvement on-site. You’ll work with architects and consultants on preliminary designs, DA plans and construction documentation, then coordinate the contractors, trades and suppliers delivering the work.
This is not a purely office-based role. Alongside planning and coordination at head office, you’ll attend project sites, monitor progress, resolve issues and work directly with site teams to keep construction moving safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
We’re open to candidates with 2+ years of relevant experience. Whether your background includes residential builds, duplex developments, retail projects or commercial fit-outs, we’re interested in your practical construction knowledge and ability to take ownership.
Experience with duplexes, residential developments, retail construction or commercial fit-outs will be highly regarded. You don’t need to have worked exclusively on large commercial projects, but you do need to understand construction and be comfortable coordinating work on‑site.
A construction qualification or relevant trade background will also be highly regarded.
