Job summary

Berendsen Fluid Power, part of Questas Group, is seeking a Project Coordinator to join its Newcastle Engineering team. You’ll help prepare estimates and tenders, plan project activities and monitor progress through to delivery, installation and commissioning.

You’ll collaborate with customers, engineers, purchasing and suppliers, interpret drawings and specifications, and travel across Australia for on-site installation and commissioning.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates and quotations covering materials, components, labour, subcontractors and freight.
• Review drawings, specifications and customer requirements with Engineering, clarifying scope and preparing tender documents for approval.
• Obtain supplier quotations, confirm lead times and coordinate purchasing against project requirements.
• Maintain schedules and follow up actions across Engineering, purchasing, workshop teams and suppliers.
• Keep customers updated on progress, delivery dates and any information needed.
• Track costs, variations and project records, supporting handover, invoicing and close-out.
• Attend customer sites to oversee the installation and commissioning phase of projects.

Reporting to the Engineering Project Manager, you’ll help prepare estimates and tenders, plan project activities and keep work progressing through to delivery, installation and commissioning.

You’ll work with customers, engineers, purchasing teams, workshop colleagues and suppliers. That means understanding what has been quoted, checking what’s needed and following up the details that keep a project moving. You’ll also attend customer sites to oversee installation and commissioning, giving you a direct connection to the finished work.
