Job summary

People Group, in partnership with a well-established logistics and freight forwarding business at the Port of Brisbane, is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator. This role coordinates logistics for projects and regular shipments across road, air, and sea, managing shipments end to end and liaising with clients and suppliers.

You will drive efficient processes, assess supplier performance, and identify opportunities for new business.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in international freight forwarding or logistics.
• Solid import and export experience across sea and air freight.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end shipment execution and documentation.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Criminal History Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipments by sea, air, and road from door to door.
• Book and manage sea and air freight on behalf of clients.
• Quote, organise, document, and execute shipments in line with client requirements.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery.
• Assess and analyse the schedule, quality, and performance of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Implement and improve operational processes on allocated projects.
• Manage stakeholder relationships at all levels.
• Identify and support new business opportunities where appropriate.

ABOUT THE ROLE

People Group is partnering with a well-established logistics and freight forwarding business at the Port of Brisbane to recruit an experienced Project Coordinator.

This is a hands-on operational role where you will coordinate logistics for projects and regular shipments across road, air, and sea freight. You will manage shipments end to end, work closely with clients and suppliers, and help drive efficient processes across the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate import and export shipments by sea, air, and road from door to door
• Book and manage sea and air freight on behalf of clients
• Quote, organise, document, and execute shipments in line with client requirements
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery
• Assess and analyse the schedule, quality, and performance of suppliers and subcontractors
• Implement and improve operational processes on allocated projects
• Manage stakeholder relationships at all levels
• Identify and support new business opportunities where appropriate

ABOUT YOU

• 3+ years' experience in international freight forwarding or logistics
• Solid import and export experience across sea and air freight
• CargoWise experience highly regarded
• Strong understanding of end-to-end shipment execution and documentation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
• Diploma or degree in logistics, business, or a related field
• Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Criminal History Clearance
