Job summary

Nufarm is seeking an Engineering Project Control & Procurement Specialist to join the Project Management Team at our Laverton North Pipe Road facility in Australia. You will support capital projects with robust planning, cost control, scheduling, risk management, and reporting aligned to regional and global requirements.

Responsibilities include end-to-end procurement for project delivery, supplier evaluation, RFx, negotiation, and contract execution with DOA approvals, while mitigating supply

Qualifications

  • Qualifications within engineering/business/management with experience in project and procurement controls.
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing or similar food/pharma/petrochemical environments preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers in monitoring, controlling, and administering project progress and metrics.
  • Own action close-out, change management docs, and PMs’ action items.
  • Provide planning support: schedules, budgets, variance analysis, and resource planning.
  • Lead procurement planning, RFx processes, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contracts.
  • Ensure project control procedures align with Nufarm standards.

Based in Laverton North at our Pipe Road chemical manufacturing facility,we’relooking to engage anEngineering Project Control & ProcurementSpecialistwithin our Project Management Team. Within this role you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of capital projects across the Head Office Pipe Road site throughtwoprimary delivery activities - project control management and procurement management.

The project control aspect ensures robust project planning, cost control, scheduling, risk management, and performance reporting in alignment with regional and global business requirements.The role willassistin producingconsolidatedmonth-end project(s) financial reports in collaboration with the Supply Chain Financial Controller.

The procurement aspect ensures operational procurement of goods and services related to project delivery functions.The role will collaborate with theCategory Manager–Indirectsto ensure strategic sourcing plans for capital delivery spend aremaintained.

HowYou’llHelp Us Grow

  • Assist the Project Manager(s) in monitoring, controlling, and administering the project progress and performance aspects of project management (scope, time, cost,qualityand risk).
  • Take ownership of the action close-out, follow ups on management of change documentation, and actions assigned by project managers.
  • Provide digital content and information for information radiators e.g. digital displays and CAPEX Sharepoint page.
  • Ownership of purchase orders raise and invoice payments for labours, engineering services and projects.
  • Provide project planning support, including creation of schedules, monitoring of budgets, variance analysis, status reporting, and resource planning alongside project managers
  • Ensure project control procedures and policies are executed and functioning according to Nufarm methodology & performance standards for all projects.
  • Will produce and issue, in conjunction with the Project Manager(s), the required status report(s) and dashboard for all internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate the project change management process, ensuring that all change impacts are properly integrated in project plan (scope, cost, schedule, people) and take proactive action to manage under performance.
  • Working with finance and project managers to ensure alignment of project forecast(s) with current funding and business requirements
  • Support capital projects with procurement planning and lead end-to-end sourcing activities, supplier evaluation, RFx process, negotiation, and contract execution (with approval via company DOA)
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including single-source dependencies

Could This Be You?

You will have qualifications within engineering/business/management with experience within project and procurement controls, ideally within a chemical manufacturing environment or similar role in the food,Pharmaor petrochemical industry. You also bring strong analytical and problem solvingmindset across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Engaging and proactive, you have excellent communication skills that you canleverageto engage teams and drive collaboration and havedemonstratedexperiencein project control,procurement sourcing, contractnegotiationand contractor management.

You’repassionate about project management support and procurement controls and can utilise your knowledge base andexpertiseto drive changeensuringweremaincompetitive as a manufacturing plant.
