Riverina Regional Library seeks an organised Programs & Collections Officer to develop and coordinate engaging youth and adult programs while managing library collections across its network.

The role combines program development, community engagement and collection management, working with branch staff, service providers and community organisations. ACCREDITED LIBRARY QUALIFICATIONS and project management experience are essential.

Qualificações

• ALIA-accredited library and information studies qualification or Education/Community engagement equivalent.
• Current and relevant experience in project management.
• Current Working with Children clearance or ability to obtain.
• Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
• Experience delivering public library programs for youth and adults.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and library management software.
• Experience in online programs for youth, adults, and older persons.
• Ability to develop and deliver a program schedule for a large network.
• Strong time management, planning and administrative skills.
• Excellent team and independent working capabilities.
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and coordinate youth and adult programs for the RRL libraries and their members.
• Liase with service providers regarding programs and community engagement opportunities.
• Liase with library staff in the development of programs and events which meet community needs.
• Administer the RRL and South-West Zone Digital Library eResource collections and manage content spend.
• Coordinate RRL Book Club service, including selection and purchase of titles.
• Ensure service level agreement obligations with branch libraries and member Councils are met.
• Create and maintain templates, user guides and tutorials for staff and members.
• Assist in outreach services including the provision of events and programs.
• Provide training to branch libraries in Youth and Adult programs.
• Respond to customer enquiries via various communication methods.
• Backfill Internal Delivery Service driver role when needed.
• Report on activities as required.
