Job summary

City of Ryde Libraries is seeking a Programs Library Technician – Adults & Inclusion to develop and deliver engaging programs that support learning, wellbeing and social connection for adults, seniors and people living with a disability.

Reporting to the Programs & Engagement Librarian, you will collaborate with Library teams and Council to maximise community satisfaction and deliver high-quality programs, including digital literacy, readers' advisory and outreach.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written English language communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• High level customer service skills and experience.
• Knowledge of information technology and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the development, delivery and promotion of a diverse and high-quality range of programs and activities focused on adults, seniors and people living with a disability.
• Maintaining specialist information services including the Community Information Database.
• Supporting outreach and partnerships and maintaining the Library Exhibition Program.
• Providing professional and responsive customer and information services.
• Providing leadership for customer service shifts when assigned.
