Job summary

North Western Melbourne Primary Care Network is seeking a Program Support Officer, Primary Care Commissioning to deliver administrative and coordination support for multiple programs that strengthen primary health care services in Melbourne's north-west. The role involves project administration, stakeholder coordination, and data management to support planning, delivery and reporting.

The position sits in the Health Systems Integration Directorate and works with the Primary Health Care

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in administration, project support, health, community services or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience providing high-quality project support or coordination within a busy team environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for correspondence, minutes and reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate meetings, workshops and Communities of Practice, including scheduling, material prep, minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Provide administrative support across primary care commissioning programs to ensure activities are on schedule.
  • Maintain project plans, action logs, risk registers and program documentation.
  • Collect and collate data to support reporting, monitoring and quality improvement activities.
  • Prepare routine correspondence, reports, presentations and stakeholder communications.
  • Support contract administration and tracking of program deliverables and milestones.
  • Liaise with providers, primary care stakeholders and internal teams to support activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and workflows.

About the role

As the Program Support Officer, Primary Care Commissioning, you will provide administrative and coordination support across a portfolio of programs that strengthen primary health care services and improve health outcomes across Melbourne's north-west. The role supports the planning, delivery and monitoring of commissioned programs through project administration, stakeholder coordination, reporting and data management.

The role sits within the Health Systems Integration Directorate and within with the Primary Health Care Improvement team, as well as commissioned providers, primary care partners and other stakeholders to support the effective delivery of primary care initiatives.

A typical week may include:

About you:
